We are a RICS Regulated Chartered Surveying Company that was established in April 2017.

Operating across the South-West region, we cover all aspects of property, building and development work and are highly regarded for managing projects from inception, right through to completion.

Our extensive experience enables us to steer a project through the delivery process, avoiding the pitfalls and minimising risk, making sure that we deliver on time, in budget and with quality.

Working with us brings an unrivalled level of reassurance on any project that we’re involved in and it’s the reason why we work with many of our clients on a repeat basis.

Our range of work covers everything from domestic homeowner’s projects and commercial businesses, right through to schools, property development work and local authorities. However, we never forget that no two projects are the same.

Every project, whatever the size, always has challenges and risk but it’s our extensive experience and management skills that allow us to identify the issues, help to avoid them and then deliver against the overall aims and objectives.

Who we are

Redmoor Property Consultants is run by Paul McClymont, a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 20 years in the construction industry specialising in core Building Surveying, Project Management and Design services. 

The team is professional, highly knowledgeable and hugely capable and has a client list that covers domestic, commercial and public sector clients. Our record with these clients speaks for itself and we understand exactly how you meet the very specific demands that each project requires.

Paul McClymont

Chartered Building Surveyor

Paul is a driven, self-motivated and ambitious Chartered Building Surveyor with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry.  Paul has a proven track record of delivering projects within residential, education, healthcare and commercial sectors.

Paul has worked extensively within commercial and live site environments with responsibility for management and co-ordination of new-build and refurbishment of existing properties, plus large-scale programmes of maintenance and repair projects.  As a Chartered Building Surveyor, Paul has developed a key skill base to manage a broad scope of construction projects from inception to completion within Lead Designer, Contract Administrator and Project Manager roles.  

Paul’s experience also covers core building surveying competencies, including site inspections and condition surveys on a broad range of property stock for Devonport Dockyard, Devon County Council and Plymouth City Council.

Alan Hutson

Chartered Building Surveyor

Alan is an extremely competent and experienced Chartered Construction Manager with over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, delivering projects within the residential, education, social care and commercial sectors.

As a Chartered Construction Manager, Alan has been responsible for pre-construction design and specification and post contract administration. During the construction period, Alan uses both his technical knowledge and practical experience to provide confidence to the client and contractor alike. He’s able to find effective solutions to any site issues and firmly believes that thorough documentation and detailed specification is the key to avoiding site delays. This experience is invaluable when dealing with new-build, maintenance, repair and refurbishment projects.  

Alan has a wealth of experience of building surveying, including site inspections, condition surveys and investigations into specific building defects on a broad range of property stock from commercial to local authority. 

Claire Hutson

Architectural Technician

Claire is an experienced  Architectural Technician with over 40 years in the construction industry, working closely with clients to deliver projects within residential, education, social care and commercial sectors.

Claire’s focus is making sure that the client’s aspirations are met. She recognises the importance of working closely with the client from developing the brief and concept proposals, right through to the developed design. Claire has managed a broad scope of construction projects from inception to completion within Lead Designer, Contract Administrator and Project Manager roles.
