When we launched our website last year, we wanted to make sure that we used this blog to demonstrate the type of work that we undertake at Redmoor Property Consultants. With that in mind, we are delighted to share our first case study for a scheme at Powderham House in Plymstock, on the east side of Plymouth, which is currently approaching completion on site.

Over the years, the property had received minimal maintenance and repair but when the current owners took it on, they wanted to make it work not just as a historical building but as a modern family home.

Due to the site and property constraints, the project was both extensive as well as complex and for that the owners decided to bring in Redmoor Property Consultants to provide Building Surveying, Design and Project Management Services. The project not only required a full programme of repair to the existing building but it also had to be completed sympathetically and in accordance with historic guidelines. It was complicated further by the need to create a modern kitchen extension within this historic setting and also achieve current thermal and energy efficiency standards.
